Why do I get a "Please enable cookies" message?
To be able to sign up and sign into your member account, you need to make sure that your browser accepts cookies from all sites or Birthday-Cards.com only. Without cookies enabled, you are not able to sign up or sign into your member account.
A cookie is a small text file placed on the hard drive of your computer to assist websites in providing their services. Our sign up and sign in feature work by using cookies. To enable cookies in your browser, please follow the instructions below for the browser version you are using:
Mozilla Firefox 2 (PC)
- Go to the "Tools" menu.
- Select "Options".
- Select the "Privacy" icon in the left panel.
- Check the box corresponding to "Accept cookies from sites".
- Click "OK" to save changes.
Mozilla Firefox 1 (PC)
- Go to the "Tools" menu.
- Select "Options".
- Select the "Privacy" icon in the left panel.
- Check the box corresponding to "Allow sites to set cookies".
- Click "OK" to save changes.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 7
- In Windows, click Start and select Control Panel. (Windows XP Classic View - click on Windows Start button and select Settings and Control Panel).
- Double-click the Internet Options icon.
- Select the Privacy tab.
- Under Settings, click Advanced button.
- Check the box Override automatic cookie handling under Cookies section in Advanced Privacy Settings window.
- Under First-party Cookies, select Accept.
- Under Third-party Cookies, select Accept.
- Check the box Always allow session cookies.
- Click OK.
- Click OK to exit.
Microsoft Internet Explorer 6
- Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
- Click on the "Privacy" tab.
- Click the "Default" button (or manually slide the bar down to "Medium") under "Settings".
- Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer 5
- Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
- Click on the "Security" tab.
- Click the "Custom Level" button.
- Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
- Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".
- Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable".
- Click "OK".
Mozilla Firefox (Mac)
- Go to the "Firefox" drop down menu.
- Select "Preferences".
- Select the "Privacy" icon.
- Under "Cookies", mark the checkbox for "Allow sites to set Cookies".
Safari
- Go to the "Safari" drop down menu.
- Select "Preferences".
- Select the "Security" icon at the top panel.
- Under "Accept Cookies" section select "Only from sites you navigate to".
Opera 9
- Select "Preferences" from the Tools menu.
- Click the "Advanced" tab.
- Click "Cookies" in the menu on the left.
- Select "Accept Cookies".
- Click "OK".
